 "We fight as a family, we win as a team" is the
current moniker of the 95th Rifles, one of the oldest Day of Defeat
gaming clans on the internet. While this moniker may not go all the way
back to the clan founding, it is the basis for our family today. Maj
Gen Kelsch leads a strong clan composed from members in North America
and Europe. Begun in early 2001 by two brothers, Brad "Baboo" and Bruce
"Max Shrek", the 95th was born from the interest of the founders in
author Bernard Cornwell and his Sharpe Series of novels. Originally
founded as the 95th Rifles Reserve [95th/2], the clan under went two
major changes as the Virginia Server regulars [VSR], Maryland Server
Regulars [MSR], briefing adopting the Airborne [AB] tag, before
consolidating as the 95th Rifles [95th]. Decisive and strong leadership
has always been the foundation of the 95th Rifles with only Five
successive leaders: Baboo, Deerslayir, Bayou Rat, Obsidianknight, and
Kelsch. The clan uses a typical military rank structure and is
comprised of three companies and special staff. Our servers have been
physically located in Arkansas, Maryland, and Virginia, before coming
to rest in it's present home in Chicago. Unique to the 95th Rifles is a
strong "regulars" following who are part of the 95th family. Sustained
entirely by its clan members and regulars, the 95th Rifles in the
premiere Day of Defeat clan on the internet today. As a family friendly
server, you can always count on strong clan leadership and admin
oversight, ensuring our servers are "family friendly" and focused on
tactical TEAM play to win!
